Cohort 1 of the “Tech for Social Impact” Bootcamp is
an intensive 6–8 week program designed to empower African youth to leverage
technology for solving real-world social challenges. This program targets
aspiring social entrepreneurs, NGO workers, and tech enthusiasts who are
passionate about creating positive change in their communities.
Participants will
gain hands-on experience with digital tools, coding, data analysis, and project
management, enabling them to develop technology-driven solutions in critical
areas such as education,
healthcare, environmental sustainability, and community development. The
bootcamp emphasizes practical learning, encouraging participants to build
prototypes, dashboards, and mobile/web applications that directly address local
social issues.
The curriculum
combines skills training, social
innovation, and entrepreneurship, culminating in a capstone project
where participants present their solutions to mentors and peers. Beyond
technical skills, the bootcamp teaches participants how to plan, pitch, and
sustain their initiatives, fostering long-term impact and community engagement.
By the end of
the program, participants will not only have a tangible solution ready for
real-world implementation but will also have developed the capacity to measure
social impact, advocate for change, and scale their projects.
Cohort 1 lays a strong foundation
for youth-led innovation, inclusive development, and sustainable social
entrepreneurship, fully aligned with goals of equipping
African youth with digital skills and opportunities for economic and social
